Prabhudheva is back with another action thriller Action Jackson. The movie starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Manasvi Magai and Yami Gautam hits the theaters today.

The film is about a gangster, (Anand Raj) who has a sexy sister Marina (Manasvi Mamgai), whofalls for AJ (Ajay Devgn). The twist here is that AJ is already happily married, but the stubborn Marina is stillinsists on being married to AJ. Owing to this, Marina sends men to kill AJ’s wife time after time. Fed up of all the troubles, AJ leaves for India with his family.

Another twist in the tale is that AJ now finds his duplicate in India, Vishi, who is a small time goon and is in love with Khushi (Sonakshi Sinha). In a confusion (just like the viewers), Marina’s men try to kill Vishi instead of AJ.

How will Vishi and AJ come out of this problem and how will they take revenge from Marina and her gangster brother? Forms the rest of the story…

Positive Aspects:-

The only good thing about the film is the humour in the dialogues between Ajay and Kunal. They manage to giggle you from time to time. Also Ajay is amazing in the action sequences.

Negative Aspects:-

You know how a few movies appear shoddy through trailers and songs, but are a real treat after they hit the theaters and there are some which may appear a must watch through its first look, but the end result is a mess. Well, let us tell you that Action Jackson belongs to none of the above categories. Prabhudheva’s latest flick neither appears good in the trailers, nor is good when it actually comes on screen.

Speaking of the story of the film, well, I really can’t. As there is none. The story is half-baked, senseless and unintentionally funny. Just as you start to understand a part, the director comes up with another unwanted twist to confuse the audience even more.

Apart from a few action sequences, Ajay is no good. Sonakshi, as usual, disappoints with her overacting. Yami has no sufficient screen space to showcase her talent. Rest of the actors including Manasvi Mamgai and Kunaal Roy Kapur are not good either.

Technical aspects:-

We feel that Prabhudheva’ direction needs to be limited to the South only. He tries something different in Bollywood. The film looks like an amalgamation of all his previous Bollywood ventures including “Wanted”, “Rowdy Rathore” and “R…Rajkumar”.

The cinematography is jerky, with the camera travelling here and there without any focus at one point. Editing is extremely bad and the screenplay has no substance what so ever. And on top of all the mess, there are the senseless and rhythemless songs added at some wrong instances, which makes the film even worse.

The dialogues given to Ajay are actually a poor version of all Salman Khan dialogues.

On a whole, do not just watch Action Jackson unless you want to bore yourself to death. The movie has to offer nothing good.
