“Happy New Year” (HNY) is one of the most-hyped and highly-anticipated Bollywood movies of 2014. This heist drama revolves around the story of a team of six losers, who participate in a dance competition to rob the greatest diamond. They all attempt the greatest diamond heist ever from the dreaded baddie Jackie Shroff and take the help of bar dancer Mohini (Deepika).

All the actors have given superb performance. SRK especially gave an exceptional performance as Charlie. His toned body of 8 packs will surely impress his fans and this film is a treat for SRK fans. Deepika’s sizzling performance is just awesome and the chemistry between Deepika and SRK is awesome. Abhishek, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan are all brilliant with their performances. The chemistry and comic timing between all of them is good. However, as usual like in any other Farah Khan’s movie, there are many logical errors in this film. Only SRK has been showcases largely and he carries the entire film on his shoulders. Rest all were not much focused. Songs of the film are good and brilliantly shot. Visually the film is superb. But one can easily find that the film has lot of glimpses of Farah Khan’s earlier films.

Overall, Happy New Year can be watched for its star cast and their entertainment. However, it can’t impress you to your expectations.
